Wanted to play around with greens and blues today so i dabbled into my Fyrinnae collection and this is what i came up with
Products used, All colours(grr spellcheck I'm Canadian and i spell it that way) Fyrinnae
Electric Stardust -lid
Futuristic Glamrock - outer v and crease
Finnegan's Wake - highlight
Nijiro - inner corner and lower lashline
Mac FluidLine Macroviolet (so damn expensive and i don't even like it >.<)
NYX Doll eye Mascara
Not sure why but my camera wants to photograph everything with a orange tinge and I'm not sure whats going on with my foundation buts its been a constant struggle with it the last week or so..
Had some fun over the past weekend went to a rodeo but managed to get pretty burnt in the sun i guess ill have to go higher then SPF 30 >.< also been thinking i have some allergies as Ive been all puffy face the last few weeks..i hate puffy :(
Been thinking about going on a tin pan mission over the last few months Ive spent way to much of my boyfriends money on make-up lol but i don't have the willpower : /
Figured id do something a lil different today and post up my hair care and what i do to keep it looking its best.
I take Biosil supplements twice a day, morning and night adding to a total of 12 drops it helps with my hair skin and nails :)
When my hair is dry i brush with a natural boar bristle brush. I'm not sure how the rough texture softens my hair but it does and i love it. It itself is a holy grail item.
I wash my hair in no set timeline, basically when i feel like doing it i do lol, but on average its every other day. The shampoo i use is Brocato Cloud 9™ Miracle Repair Shampoo Followed by Cloud 9™ Miracle Repair Treatment
i use a condition wash condition method to care for my hair i apply the miracle repair treatment from the ears down and apply the shampoo from ear up. I rinse then repeat with the repair treatment from ear down. and rinse
I towel dry my hair and spray Aussie Sydney Smooth heat protector+leave in conditioner spray. to help detangle my ends
Depending on my mood i either use Inecto pure coconut oil, which despite its label contains more demithicons then anything else. Or i use Got2b Smooth Operator i run these through my hair while still damp to add shine and at times i finish off with it when my hair is dry to tame down some of the frizz.
If i want a little oomph i use Lanza volume bodifying liquid on still damp hair
And if i want to flat iron my hair i use Matrix Vavoom gold heat spray. but i don't straighten my hair much as i already have naturally straight hair.
I don't normally use the last two products as I'm a wash and go kind of girl, but on days i want to feel special or do something different i usually curl or straighten my hair. that's only about once or twice a month if that. Ive been using this routine since about February and it has worked for me thus far, i don't deep condition at all as all the methods I've tried just leave me feeling too oily or greasy if anyone have any suggestion id love to hear them.
what are your holy grail products? what have you found that works for you that you always use? or seem to fall back on?
Well after fighting with this idea for 3 weeks i figured out my answer within five minutes of posting.. I'm gonna continue if anything practice makes perfect, ill learn how to write better reviews and so on lol. I've got so many thoughts and ideas and i shouldn't let a shitty lil camera stand in the way of what i want. So from here on out i declare myself officially back :) if you have any thoughts or suggestions let me know. In the mean time I'm gonna continue on with what I've been doing as it makes me happy.. Ive missed you all XD
i'm stuck with this blog not being able to take proper pics has me disheartend, but i miss writing so much so im unsure what to do.. postpone the blog longer till i get a proper camera which will be like forever due to finances..or deal with the fail and continue on...
Painted my nails yesterday and this is what i ended up with, I've got a bright pink french manicure thing going on, along with a accent nail. due to shinnies and light and a crappy ol camera you cant really see whats going on. On the accent nail i have a pink, orange and silver grassy flower Konad stamping along with a white and pink butterfly decal :) been ugly outside so was looking for something to brighten up the mood.Don't pay to much attention the fail going on was in a rush :/
Accent nail..yay pretty :)
Colours i used and my damn camera cant photograph anything right..i pray and wait for the days my boyfriend gets me a new one :) and unfortunately until i do get a better camera your gonna have to deal with crappy photos : /
The Nail polishes i got don't have colours on them just numbers so Tip colour N.Y.C 207A Flowers N.Y.C 205A, 207A, SH Silver from the metallic french manicure set. Top and base coat O.P.I Natural Nail
My first attempt with the Konad nail system, and just in case i used darker colors so my mistakes wouldn't be as noticeable. i think it turned out pretty good :)sorry about the light i just wanted to ensure that you could see the details.
Plate i used M2 Base Coat - O.P.I Natural Nail Base Color - China Glaze Coconut Kiss Spot Color - Revlon Plum Attraction Top Coat - O.P.I Top Coat
This is three days after i painted them.. Still looking good :)
I'm very impressed on how it looks and I'm definitely sold on the Konad system :) so easy but a tad bit messy lol.
Yes yes i know its Tuesday but usually my weekends and Mondays are so hectic i get behind in my day to day chores.
We went out of town to see my boyfriends daughter at a dance competition of sorts, she placed second in her age category so proud of her :) she did very well considering 3 of her 5 partners were missing so it ended up being a duet instead of a group dance.
After that we headed outta town even more to red deer where i managed to get a few things from the mall.
Since I'm new to the Konad nail art system i picked up a pretty basic starter kit that came with the stamper, scraper, 2 plates (m2, m3) and 3 bottles of polish (red white and blue).
Went to lush to pick up and try the Angels on bare skin, since this was also my first time going to Lush i was a little lost a lovely sales associate directed me around the store recommending this and that all the while feeding me compliments which i wont turn down, she commented on how nice my complexion is and that i didn't need so and so cause it was aimed towards those with acne problems. So all and all i ended up just purchasing the Angels on bare skin along with Breath of Fresh Air Toner.
Some non make-up related excitement my boyfriend took me out to dinner, went to a cute lil restaurant called "it's All Greek to Me" and half way through dinner the music changed, got a bit louder and i heard jinglies kinda like change in your pocket i turned to see and there was a dancer in full belly dancing garb.. she made her way all around the restaurant pulling people up and getting them to dance..even on the table tops it was fun change of pace i definitely enjoyed my meal and the entertainment :) First time i ever had Greek food and wine too...`
After dinner we saw Clash of the Titans in 3d for my first time seeing a movie in 3d it didn't really seem all that special or worth the extra money..but none the less i loved it. Boyfriend said it was alright but he defiantly saw better, meh he lamesauce.
Wow just noticed theres alot of firsts in this post lol :)Maybe for the theme of things first person to comment "First" gets a virtual cookie (this post only as i hate the "first" craze.)
Doing nothing and going nowhere today yet i still felt i needed to do something with my eyes, ah crazy crazy me..
I've Been debating what i should get next from Fyrinnae but i can never decide so I'm asking you what are some must haves i should order. At the moment I am wanting to try some neutral colours but I'm also loving the colour purple and wanting to try some outlandish colours i normally wouldn't wear. At the moment my make up bag consists of mostly pink colours. Ive got hardly any green blue or orange shades. i wish i had more then 50$ to spend so I could buy one of everything :)
any who onto the look.
Products i used UDPP and Pixie Epoxy all the eye shadows are from Fyrinnae AM Sorceress Lid and inner half the lower lash line AM Faerie glamour Crease Finnegan's Wake Brow bone Freya Upper and outer half of the lower lash line almost forgot to mention i have City Clam Lights of Moscow in my inner corner..don't really recommend doing that though and you don't need it for the look. eyeliner 24/7 zero by urban decay and twisted by SOHO on the the water line only Stila black diamond mascara both upper and lower lashes
I'm not to impressed by this mascara its gloppy its clumpy it doesn't apply worth crap and i would expect alot more out of a 35$ mascara but i love how it seems the diamonds are reflecting the color of my eyeshadow. I think it looks pretty cool but not sure if that effect is worth the 35 dollars i payed for it.
As the title says a blogger i follow religiously is having her first give away for having 60 followers and i have to share it, be sure to enter. More details here http://aijuswhanakno.blogspot.com/2010/04/my-firs-giveaway.html
on a side note the prizes are absolutely wonder full.
Bored as hell, trying to spring clean but I'm not very motivated and finding just about anything i can do to procrastinate just that much longer. lol
A very purple eye look i guess, looks way better in person but camera sucks and I'm still learning how to use it so bear with me just a little longer while i figure out all the kinks :)
The colours are more true in the last picture as horrible and blurry and awkward angle that it is
Products used Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy (all over eye area) Fyrinnae Cheeky - brow bone Innocence Melancholy shimmer -lid (bought at a mall way long ago.) Fyrinnae Freya - Crease and outer lower lash line Innocence Magenta -pearl inner corner Fyrinnae Faerie Glamour upper and lower lash line eyeliner and mascara (nyx babydoll)
so basically i threw a light purple on lid, the darker purple in the crease and faerie glamour on the lash line, but because of the fact i have a very heavy lid (if anyone has any advice on how to fix that it would be greatly appreciated :).) all the colours just all got smeared together and just enough of the FG got spread around to muck up and confuse my camera so most of the shots ended up being a blue colour still looked nice, but not a real representation of what i really got. FG just wants to be in the spotlight i guess lol..Also Ive been having a lot of problems with my boyfriends camera and its failure to focus and or properly take pictures, trying to get it figured out but its just frustrating and aggravating me I'm still in the process of learning how to work it and what not..PS i already know i suck at blending lol
A muted neutral look..kinda blah but as I'm seeing the mother in law today it can't be to over the top : /.. looks way better in person just didn't photograph well because of the sparkles in the shadows.
Products used. (Fyrinnae unless otherwise stated) Pixie Epoxy Finnegan's wake - all over Cheeky -lid (Almay) Coffee break quad 3rd colour (Medium brown) - crease Nijiro - inner eye (Annabelle) kohl eyeliner pencil in chocolate Monarch butterfly - upper and lower lash line (Nyx) doll eye mascara
Got my Fyrinnae package tonight, boyfriend brought it home tonight. Was so happy i didnt have to wait till his days off to retrieve the parcel it was waiting in the box. Totally turned my day around for me :)
So far i love Devil Horns lip luster at first when i applied it i thought ick way to bright and colourfully peachy looking, but omg i gave it five minutes and im in love the colour the scent the texture its heaven on my lips and it looks it too :) ill be trying the rest of the items tomorrow and ill prolly post a whole bunch of lovlies about it :)
As the title says :P Sorry for taking so long in reviewing this.
Packaging is cute i like how it looks, the swirls of white and pink is pretty makes me feel bad for potentially mucking it up by using it. I like the raised dome of it. The casing is a durable plastic
Product The idea behind it i think is to brighten the skin with white and pink light refracting pigments. It says finishing powder to me that translates to a all over the face powder but with me that seemed to much. It would brighten my complexion and the shinies made my imperfections less noticeable but i also glowed like a damn light bulb, I'm into that whole nice soft youth full glow but this seemed to much I'm naturally pale to begin with and this just seemed to amplify that. It might work better with someone with some colour (not pasty white lol) or as a highlighter for specific areas like cheekbones i can see it working but then i find it a little misleading to being called a finishing powder should be called highlighter if that's all it can be used for.
After using if for awhile it kinda grew on me i found that if i used it and another face powder (matte) it toned it down a bit and actually looks kinda nice ;)
Will i buy it again, prolly not Was is worth buying, not really its a damn highlighter and i already got one of those will i continue to use it, most likely but prolly not on a regular basis
If i could go a single day without crying i think that would be awsome :) To try and brighten up my mood some i tried for a colourful pink eye..No not one caused by fecel matter. (old movie moment dont mind me) One created with purple and red eyeshadow turnerd out more pinkey though ;D
Eyes Innocence Mineral Cosmetics in melancholy shimmer (lid and lower lash line) Innocence Mineral Cosmetics in Glitter Red (crease) Innocence Mineral Cosmetics in magenta pearl (highlight) Eye cream as primer NYX Doll Eyes Mascara Loreal liquid black liner
Arbonne Virtual Illusion Makeup Primer Arbonne About Face Line Defiance Liqued Foundation in 6n Covergirl Aqua Smooters in 710 classic ivory Maybellene New York Romantic Plum blush Revlon Color Stay Mineral Finishing Powder in Brighten Almay Pure Blends Translucent Matte Finishing Powder
Lips Lip Balm CoverGirl Coffee Toffee
I used two different foundations cause nethier of which suit me well on there own together they seem not so bad, the Arbonne was a gift from my mother she ended up giving me the re9 kit ( i think thats what its called) the primer and foundation which was to light for her, but too orange for me. The Covergirl i bought to replace it but it was to cool for me. Right color but just made me look to damn pasty so mix the two and viola near perfection :)
I also usually use a kohl black liner pencil but couldnt find mine *Update* i found it moments after this post lol.
Well here i am, sorry i haven't been around latley but its been one hell of a week and not in a good way, its been so much of a roller coaster ride i havent been in the mood to blog damn hell. Basicly boyfriends an ass no other way of putting it really...
I'll working on the reviews shortly i've been able to use a few of the products the last few days. ill prolly just write them all up tonight or tommorow i got a good enough opinion on them theres no real need to delay it any longer..
Bloody hell i still feel like shit, and i apologize with the very negative tone this post carries i'm trying to not be so pissy but with what ive just been through i cant help it.
Went to the city yesterday and managed to come home with a new member for the family :) She's ugly as sin but 100% adorable. Still trying to find a name for her so any and all suggestions are welcome. also came home with another bottle of nail polish, how purple is coconut kiss is beyond me lol.
Went to see my family yesterday and had a total blast :)Found out my go to girl isn't working in the cosmetics department anymore. She got transferred and the new girl is a person I truly despise so not sure if I'm going to continue shopping there, but i still managed to get a few new items to add to my make-up bag ill be reviewing them throughout the week.
A quick rundown of the products i got.
Almay Pure Blends finishing powder in Translucent matte Revlon Color Stay Mineral finishing powder in Brighten NYX Doll Eye Mascara waterproof in Extreme Black
